CPaT’s FMS Skills Trainer is a keypad emulator designed to teach FMS procedures and essential CDU skills before entering simulator training. It comes pre-loaded with procedural lessons covering 12 key FMS functions, including FMC initialization, flight plan loading, and departure and arrival procedures. These lessons follow OEM standards but can be edited by airline staff to align with their specific SOPs.
The Trainer offers multiple use modes: Instruction (Demo Mode), Practice (Practice Mode), and Assess (Perform Mode), allowing students to build proficiency while giving instructors the ability to verify knowledge retention. With CPaT’s content creation and editing capabilities, airlines can develop new lessons and make real-time updates as needed. Available for most fleets in the CPaT Aircraft Library, the FMS Skills Trainer puts full control of training directly in your hands.
